Among all the delights that make up your wedding meal, the dessert undoubtedly remains the highlight of the show. It is important to choose it carefully while respecting your tastes and desires. You've heard about the wedding cake (or seen it in American movies) and it made your mouth water! Here are 3 tips that will help you have a dream wedding cake for your big day.

DESIGN: DARE TO MAXIMIZE PERSONALIZATION!

What's magical about wedding cakes is that personalization can be taken to the extreme. Everything can be customized: the shape, colors, sugar or marzipan objects, flavors, and more. Bring out your tastes, your desires, your passions! This pastry must be a reflection of you: UN-FOR-GET-TA-BLE!

I also recommend calling on a true professional to obtain a cake worthy of your wedding. If you are getting married in the Hauts-de-France region, I highly recommend Annie Kone and her fabulous wedding cakes, which have already brought joy to many of my clients. Some caterers also offer this service, so don't hesitate to ask them right from the first contact.

FLAVOR: CHOOSE SEASONAL FLAVORS

As with a traditional French wedding cake, you will also have to choose the different flavors that will make up your cake. However, you can once again think outside the box, as the fillings, creams, and sponges will be to your liking. While some professionals offer an array of fruits year-round, I always advise choosing seasonal fruits which will have a better taste. So don't be surprised if some artisans don't offer strawberries or raspberries in December :)

QUANTITY: PLAN FOR A SECOND OPTION

Your goal is clearly to dazzle the assembly with your wedding cake! However, you also need to consider that not all guests will like the chosen flavors or may prefer something lighter. I always advise my future brides and grooms to provide a mini dessert buffet or fresh fruit skewers to cater to the majority and satisfy the appetites of both the less and more indulgent guests!
